Its functions

The electoral office is responsible for:

  • management of electoral rolls
  • voter ID card
  • elections

Electoral rolls

Voters are registered on the electoral rolls. These are periodically updated, according to population changes: emigration, immigration, loss/acquisition of electoral rights. These updates are carried out ex officio, therefore citizens don’t have to communicate anything to the Electoral Office.

Voter ID card

The voter card must be produced at the polling station, on polling day, in order to vote. It must be kept because it can be used for 18 votes. In case of loss, theft or non-receipt, you can get a duplicate.

HOW and WHERE

You can apply for a duplicate at the Electoral Office, by submitting a valid ID, during the week before the polling day.
The issue of the card or the duplicate is free.

Elections – Referendum

In case of elections, this Office provides for all obligations relating to the correct running of the elections, from the extraordinary updating of electoral rolls to the formation of the polling stations and therefore to the management of the vote of the electors living in the Municipality or abroad (enrolled in the A.I.R.E. – Register of Italians Resident Abroad).
